Lost: LaFleur
Wednesday, March 4th, 2009More Lost? Another great episode from what is turning out to be the best season of Lost. This week we got to see the limbos finally stop flashing, and how Jin got to be wearing a Dharma uniform in last week’s episode. Despite all that cool stuff, my favorite little moment was right after John moved the island, when the limbo’s got a glimpse of the huge Egyptian statue, most likely the four-toed one spotted earlier by Jin, Sun, and Sayid. Judging by the ears, I would guess that we have a dog or a cat here. It is most likely Anubis, god of the underworld and the one responsible for transporting the dead to afterlife. It appears to be holding an Ankh is its right hand, the same symbol that Paul had on his necklace (see below). Other gods it may be: Bastet, Set, or Sekhmet (all very unlikely). And I’m sorry– I’m just going through a major Egypt phase right now.

Ankh: Eternal Life
UPDATE: People agree with me.
